Low Voltage Post Light – 12v Radiata Solid Timber Pine Bollard Lights
This low voltage post light is manufactured using sustainable sourced solid Radiata Pine timber. Radiata pine is renowned for lower split properties and no feathering. These stylish natural pine bollards have outstanding treatment properties. As a result, during pressure treatment the entire timber is penetrated by the latest generation wood preservative. Sourced and CNC machined by a top FSC certified timber supplier, this Radiata pine is suitable for most climates, whether the environment is hot or wet. They are fully sanded creating a smooth, top quality finish. In addition, they are pressure treated with Tanalith E preservative in accordance with BS8417 to meet Use Class 4.
The expected life of the pine post light is up to 15 years with a 5 year Guarantee as standard. 300mm-400mm of the wooden bollard is to be securely mounted in ground. It incorporates a solid brass eye-lid style, anti-glare fitting in a charming rustic bronze finish. The brass light houses 1 x LED G4 bulb (bulbs to be purchased separately).
As a natural material, cracking in wood is common. Usually this will have no effect on the strength of the post and will vary based on the moisture content of the wood. The preservative treatment helps to increase the moisture level, thus reducing cracking. The best time of year for external installs of wooden posts is between October and March. This is due to the sun being less intense, reducing the risk of rapid drying. Also, do not install in waterlogged areas as this will have a negative effect on the wood.
As a natural material, Radiata products will possess structural features, such as knots, splits and twists.

Surface mount bollards are installed on top of an existing solid surface, such as concrete or asphalt. Depending on the surface various types of bolts can be used, with expanding anchor bolts being one of the most secure options. They are a versatile option for locations where digging into the ground isn’t feasible or where temporary installation is preferred. These bollards offer easy installation and relocation, making them ideal for flexible or non-permanent applications.
Surface mounted bollards can be securely fixed to the ground using J-bolts. These would be attached to the surface mount with the bolts sunk into a wet concrete base, rather than the tube buried in the ground. This installation method provides a strong, stable foundation while allowing for easy removal or replacement if needed. These bollards are ideal for permanent installations in areas where digging or extensive groundwork is not an option, offering both durability and flexibility.
Surface mount bollards with in-ground spikes are designed to be anchored to soft ground with a spike that drives into the ground beneath the bollard. This method offers strong stability while being easier to install than traditional root mounts, as it requires no concrete or extensive digging. They are a great choice for private locations where a secure yet removable bollard is needed, providing a durable solution with quick and easy installation.
