Lighthouse Motion Sensor Bollard Light – Surface Mounted
This professional illuminated motion sensor bollard light has a ‘Lighthouse’ style head, and comes in a graphite black finish. 2 different heights are available (800mm or 1000mm) – suitable heights for every application such as driveways, paths and sectioned areas. There are 3 styles of head to choose from, ‘domed’, ‘pillar’ or ‘flat’ top.
A smart looking built in PIR motion sensor automatically turns the bollard on when motion is detected throughout the night. No need to switch the bollard on and off each day. PIR sensor bollards are a great addition for areas where security is required, throughout the entire night. Energy usage is reduced, as the bollard is not constantly on through the night. Adjust the PIR to your desired settings:

Fitted with an E27 LED lamp holder, we recommend our 15w mini corn bulb, available in warm white and daylight white (to be purchased separately).
This motion sensor bollard light is made from heavy duty die-cast aluminium. The head and cylinder of the bollard are 2.5mm thick. All screws are stainless steel, resulting in a completely rustproof and non-corrosive model.
A clear UV stop polycarbonate diffuser surrounds the centre section of the head. This enables an even all-round light dispersal around the bollard and also protects the bulb installed. Further protection is added internally by silver aluminium louvres. These add character to the bollard and, importantly act as anti-glare shields.
Distance between illuminated bollards – how far?
The distance between bollards varies depending on the bulb’s light output. Also the type of area, and how much light you require. Below are some guidelines to determine how many bollards may be required for your project, based on our recommended bulbs providing constant light between each fitting:

- 15W Corn Lamp: 3-5m Spacing

Surface mount bollards are installed on top of an existing solid surface, such as concrete or asphalt. Depending on the surface various types of bolts can be used, with expanding anchor bolts being one of the most secure options. They are a versatile option for locations where digging into the ground isn’t feasible or where temporary installation is preferred. These bollards offer easy installation and relocation, making them ideal for flexible or non-permanent applications.
Surface mounted bollards can be securely fixed to the ground using J-bolts. These would be attached to the surface mount with the bolts sunk into a wet concrete base, rather than the tube buried in the ground. This installation method provides a strong, stable foundation while allowing for easy removal or replacement if needed. These bollards are ideal for permanent installations in areas where digging or extensive groundwork is not an option, offering both durability and flexibility.
Surface mount bollards with in-ground spikes are designed to be anchored to soft ground with a spike that drives into the ground beneath the bollard. This method offers strong stability while being easier to install than traditional root mounts, as it requires no concrete or extensive digging. They are a great choice for private locations where a secure yet removable bollard is needed, providing a durable solution with quick and easy installation.
